Upcoming Events For Parents of Children With Special Needs

Several area businesses will be offering events for children with special needs and/or their parents in the upcoming weeks. Advance registration is required.

Interfaith Spring Caregivers Conference will be held Saturday, May 5th at Christ Church United Methodist Church from 8:30am-3:00pm and will feature free skill-building and informative workshops for family members caring for a loved one, including children with special needs.

What makes a great kid-friendly restaurant? A menu beyond just hamburgers and chicken fingers? Space to play? iPads to play with? All of the above?! We've assembled a variety of restaurants in The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Tomball, Magnolia and Cypress areas that are sure to please the pickiest of eaters, the wildest of rambunctious toddlers and those parents desperate to kick back and enjoy their meal (and drinks!) while their kids play safely.

altThe Montgomery County Fair, Rodeo & BBQ Cookoff kicks off March 29 and runs through April 7. This is one of our family's favorite events of the spring!
 
Start your visit by heading to the arena for some great rodeo shows performed by cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state. There's not a bad seat in the house! Next, head over to the livestock area and see local 4-H and FFA student's prize-winning rabbits, chickens, turkeys, pigs and cows. Check the schedule for livestock judging and auctions while you're there.

Acoustic Concert Series Creekside Park Unplugged Returns For Fall

The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), proudly presents Creekside Park® Unplugged, a free acoustic concert series to take place on Wednesday nights, on September 19, September 26 and October 3 from 6-8 p.m. 

The family-friendly Creekside Park Unplugged Concert Series in The Woodlands® at Creekside Park Village Green will feature The Leos, a top 40 group from every genre from Maroon 5 to Frank Sinatra, on September 19; Hugo Rodriguez, performing classic rock, blues and top 30 through the 2000s on September 26; and Ryan Pinnick, performing multiple genres from the 1960s to 2000s with an interesting take on many of the classics on October 3.

Acoustic Concert Series Creekside Park Unplugged Returns

altThe Howard Hughes Corporation® will host Creekside Park® Unplugged, a free, family-friendly concert series at Creekside Park Village Green, set for Wednesday nights - April 18, 25 and May 2 from 6- 8 pm.
 
Among the performers will be JP and Phillip, a duo performing a variety of tunes including classic Americana, rock, soul, country and more on April 18. On April 25, guests can enjoy the acoustic music of Troy Ita, featuring a variety of hits from the 70s to today including some childrens favorites. For the finale on May 2, The J-Walkers will cover multiple genres from yesteryears to today.

Hamilton #Ham4Ham Lottery Offers $10 Tickets For Upcoming Houston Performances

altProducer Jeffrey Seller and BBVA Compass Broadway at the Hobby Center are pleased to announce a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the shows first performance (April 24) in Houston at the Hobby Center. Thirty-two (32)orchestra tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. The digital lottery will open at 11:00 AM CT on Sunday, April 22 for tickets to the Tuesday, April 24 performance. Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.
