34 Fun Things to do with kids at The Woodlands Mall

IMG 6053
It's raining, or maybe it's just too doggone hot to be outdoors. Or maybe it's too cold (who knows – it IS Texas, after all). Or - the air quality (pollen) is just too outrageous.

Either way, the Woodlands Mall can be a great alternative to your usual kid-friendly spots around town. After you find a parking space and unload the kids, the rest is golden.

There is plenty for a child ages 2 to 12 years old to explore and enjoy at our mall! And for you, mom, there are nursing lounges, family bathrooms, stroller rentals, and an abundance of stores and goodies to make the visit with kids pleasant for everyone.

Summer Reading Kickoff Parties – You’re Invited!

summer reading kickoff woodlandsmommy
Now’s the time to plan summer activities that keep kids engaged and learning! One easy place to start is our local library’s Summer Reading Program. It encourages regular reading, offers fun incentives, and gives us families access to a variety of free events throughout the summer.

To celebrate the start of the program, nine local libraries are hosting Summer Reading Kickoff Parties. (I’m highlighting Montgomery County libraries as well as a few in Harris County). These events vary by location, and many will include activities like bounce houses, balloon animals, popsicles, crafts, face painting, giant bubbles, and colorful foam play. It's an engaging way to get the kids excited about summer reading!

***As a quick aside, we personally think it's appropriate to respectfully participate in cultural holidays and to understand the meanings and reasons behind the celebration, so read all the way to the end if you'd like to be enlightened!
