Space Center Houston Offers Family Campout This Fall

alt
Launch your family camping trip into orbit this fall with Space Center Houston's all-new Family Campout program! Your family will navigate your own space exploration journey while engaging in STEM activities like building model rockets, exploring robotics and training for spaceflight.

Families can choose from two unique overnight camping experiences. For those that prefer to sleep in the great outdoors under the stars, pack your tent and set up camp in Independence Plaza, right underneath a Boeing 747, the shuttle carrier aircraft NASA 905, and the high-fidelity shuttle replica Independence. Prefer to cozy up indoors? All you need is a sleeping bag and a pillow to complete your campsite, surrounded by some of the rarest spaceflight artifacts on Earth.

In addition to the STEM activities and camping experience, the $59.95 registration includes buffet dinner and breakfast and a second-day visit to Space Center Houston. All campers must be at least 5 years old. For additional details and to register for the October 6-7 weekend, visit spacecenter.org
