Summer Reading Kickoff Parties – You’re Invited!

Now’s the time to plan summer activities that keep kids engaged and learning! One easy place to start is our local library’s Summer Reading Program. It encourages regular reading, offers fun incentives, and gives us families access to a variety of free events throughout the summer.

To celebrate the start of the program, nine local libraries are hosting Summer Reading Kickoff Parties. (I’m highlighting Montgomery County libraries as well as a few in Harris County). These events vary by location, and many will include activities like bounce houses, balloon animals, popsicles, crafts, face painting, giant bubbles, and colorful foam play. It's an engaging way to get the kids excited about summer reading!

Each library’s event is unique, so I’ve compiled the list below that links to all the details to help you choose the one that fits your family best. You’re also encouraged to invite friends or neighbors who might want to join in on the fun.
