When it comes to youth sports in The Woodlands, few names carry the weight and consistency of Coach Deon – now widely known as The Woodlands' Most Dedicated Coach. If you are looking for a program that builds more than just basketball skills, you will want to know about the evolution of his training philosophy and the powerful impact it is making on players and families throughout our community.

As part of its Change for Charity initiative, Market Street and The Woodlands Car Club recently donated more than $9,500 to The Woodlands Kiwanis Club. The Woodlands Kiwanis Club focuses on children in crisis, ill, with special needs, or needing mentorship. The organization assists children in Montgomery County and is passionate about making a difference by helping kids grow and succeed. 

City Place is soaring into summer with a range of June programming taking place on and around the community’s central Plaza at 1250 Lake Plaza Drive.

Seasonal Programming

Last summer’s Hot Nights, Cool Grooves complimentary concert series is back and better than ever. The first night of fun kicks off Saturday, June 14 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm with performance from Shanear Nicole, Blaque Vinyl’s, and Clutch City. The evening will also showcase food trucks, giveaways and samplings from Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

Are you still figuring out a summer game plan for your older kiddo? You're in luck! Planet Fitness, Inc., one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S. and home of the Judgement Free Zone®, is inviting high school teenagers ages 14-19 to work out for FREE at any of its more than 1,700 Planet Fitness locations throughout the United States.

In addition to being permitted to use the gym machines and equipment, all participants will have access to the free fitness classes offered through the Planet Fitness PE@PF program. You can view the clubs’ class schedule and sign up for classes by visiting your local club. The free PF App also features a variety of workouts that are categorized by fitness level and will help your teen focus on his/her personal goals.
