Kick off the holiday season with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at Holly Jolly Jingle Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. This festive event includes a musical celebration of the season by local student performers and fun winter activities for all ages. Tickets are not required for this free event which is sponsored by KPMG.  Gates open at 6 p.m.

Dickens of the Strand returns for 49th Anniversary, Dec. 2 - 4, 2022

For 49 years, Galveston Historical Foundation's (GHF) Dickens on The Strand festival has highlighted downtown Galveston's Victorian-era architecture while providing a one-of-a-kind holiday destination filled with the sights and sounds of Charles Dickens's work. This year's event continues that tradition with new entertainers and events, returning favorites, and family-friendly programming. This annual festival begins Friday, December 2, with free admission to Fezziwig's Beer Hall from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continues with ticketed entry Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 4, from 12 to 6 p.m.

Calling all creative kids!! Creator Camp for kids debuts in The Woodlands

Creator Camp, a filmmaking and animation camp originating from Katy, TX, is coming to The Woodlands this winter! Over the holiday break, your child ages 7 - 13 years old can learn studio animation and/or YouTube creation from the experts. These engaging, hands-on camps take place at Cunae International School located at 5655 Creekside Forest.

Texas Academy of Dance Arts (TADA) presents "The Nutcracker"

The last two holiday seasons haven’t been normal for anyone – but no one has been as impacted by the effects of this pandemic like children and local businesses. A Spring/Woodlands based dance studio, Texas Academy of Dance Arts (TADA) is intent to bring the magic of the holidays back to children and their friends and family, all while supporting more than 15 local businesses along with Interfaith of the Woodlands, a non-profit social service agency providing numerous programs and services to meet the needs of The Woodlands and surrounding area. TADA's 8th annual production of  "The Nutcracker" is scheduled for Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at The Woodlands College Park High School. 

Giant Gingerbread Village highlights City Place this fall

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at north Houston’s City Place as the holiday season as The Plaza is lit up and a fantastical, life-size Gingerbread Village makes it home in City Place Park. Mix in outdoor fitness programming, music and happy hour specials during the Friday Night Live series, Children’s Storytime, Sunday Strolls and a free photography class, and City Place is the place to be for all-ages entertainment this November. The Woodlands Township presents Lighting of the Doves on November 19, 2022

The Woodlands Township invites residents to  welcome the holiday season at the 40th annual Lighting of the Doves festival on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, 77380. 

The Lighting of the Doves festival is a beloved tradition in The Woodlands, heralding the start of the festive season. Symbolizing hope and peace, the ceremonial illumination of the doves attracts thousands of residents and visitors each year. This event culminates with a special appearance by Santa Claus making his way from the North Pole to The Woodlands Waterway by sleigh boat. Santa festivities will begin at the Celebration Stage at approximately 7 p.m., followed by fireworks.
