The Woodlands Township invites residents to  welcome the holiday season at the 40th annual Lighting of the Doves festival on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, 77380. 

The Lighting of the Doves festival is a beloved tradition in The Woodlands, heralding the start of the festive season. Symbolizing hope and peace, the ceremonial illumination of the doves attracts thousands of residents and visitors each year. This event culminates with a special appearance by Santa Claus making his way from the North Pole to The Woodlands Waterway by sleigh boat. Santa festivities will begin at the Celebration Stage at approximately 7 p.m., followed by fireworks.

Woodlands Crumbl Cookies Opens on November 18

The Woodlands is about to get a whole lot sweeter on Friday, November 18, when locally owned and operated Woodlands Crumbl Cookies, located at 9595 Six Pines Dr, Suite 1075, The Woodlands, TX 77380, opens its doors.

Store owners, Joe Durfey and Robert Hartshorn say they can’t wait to serve delicious treats to cookie-crazed fans in Crumbl’s perfectly postable pink boxes. The store is open from 8am – 10pm on weekdays and 8am – 12am Fridays and Saturdays.

Market Street Hosts Holiday Photos with Santa Claus Nov. 19 – Dec. 24, 2022

Who’s making a list and checking it twice? Santa Claus himself will be at Market Street greeting children of all ages for the much-loved holiday tradition of photos with Santa. Children may have their photo taken and give jolly ol’ St. Nick their wish list beginning Saturday, November 19 through Saturday, December 24, 2022. Santa Claus will greet children and their families in space 815 next to Vineyard Vines.

New Farmers Market Pop-Up coming to City Place beginning Nov. 16

North Houston’s City Place,  is partnering with Your Neighborhood Farmers Market, a community market operator supporting local farmers and producers, to bring you a monthly pop-up market full of goodies!  

Open to the public 11am to 2pm on the third Wednesday of each month beginning November 16, the City Place Your Neighborhood Farmers Market pop-up provides City Place visitors, residents and office tenants with easy access to premium offerings from area farms and artisanal producers. Shop organic and locally-grown fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats, pasture-raised eggs, artisan cheeses and foods, fresh baked goods and juices, specialty prepared food, plants, natural pet treats & more. The lively, family-friendly happening also includes engaging crafts, entertainment and “kidpreneur” elements.

33rd Annual YMCA Run Thru The Woods Presented by Huntsman

YMCA Run Thru The Woods has been one of the premier running and walking family events in Texas for 33 years. The Huntsman Corporation has generously taken the lead as presenting sponsor for the annual charity event held on Thanksgiving morning in The Woodlands, Texas.

The annual event has raised more than $3 Million since it began. Township Trick or Treat Trail set for October 22, 2022 at Northshore Park

The Woodlands Township invites princesses, ghosts, goblins, pirates and more to Trick or Treat Trail on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive.

The Township invites kids to model their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration of Halloween. The event includes trick or treating from booth to booth with goodies provided by local vendors, in addition to strolling entertainers, carnival games, photo areas, costume contests, Halloween crafts (while supplies last), balloon artists, food trucks and more. The event is free and open to the public.
