Avoid travel delays on May 6 during Woodforest Bank TRI

The Woodforest Bank TRI–The Woodlands is set for Saturday, May 6, 2023, beginning at 7 a.m. The Woodforest Bank TRI is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event, featuring a field of 800 participants. 

To ensure runner and spectator safety for the event, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be responsible for closing and re-opening lanes on streets along the race route. Residents are advised to plan accordingly during the morning hours of the event.

The Pavilion to kick off its 2023 arts season with Jewels, May 5.

The Pavilion will kick off its arts season in glimmering fashion with the Houston Ballet performance of George Balanchine’s Jewels on May 5. Each of the three acts in this full-length ballet embody their namesake jewel through the unique musical stylings of their corresponding composer.

To Kill a Mockingbird comes to Houston's Hobby Center- April 25 - 30, 2023

Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin’s new play, directed by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher and based on Harper Lee’s classic novel comes to Houston as part of a multi-year national tour across North America.

To Kill a Mockingbird holds the record as the highest-grossing American play in Broadway history. It began performances on November 1, 2018, at the Shubert Theatre and played to sold-out houses until the Broadway shutdown in March 2020. On February 26, 2020, To Kill a Mockingbird became the first-ever Broadway play to perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden, in front of approximately 18,000 New York City public school students, also marking the largest attendance at a single performance of a play ever in world theater. The production resumed performances on October 5, 2021 and concluded its run at the Shubert Theatre on January 16, 2022. To Kill a Mockingbird is currently running at the Gielgud Theatre in London’s West End starring Richard Coyle.
