Thank Goodness - Woodlands community resources - COVID-19 Crisis!

Businesses are closed throughout The Woodlands and beyond, and it’s a sad time for all of us, but we’re grateful to see so many of the companies we love providing support for our families, even at a distance. Please continue to keep these businesses on your radar and make plans to extend your support when all of our schedules are back to normal. We need each other. In the meantime, these resources are available right now from the following entities. Check back frequently for updates and additions.

Meet Rebecca Groenow, Owner of Kidtivities

Have you heard of Kidtivities? It's a new soft play rental business serving The Woodlands and surrounding area!
The inspiration behind this fun and unique business started when local resident, Rebecca Groenow, was planning her son Max’s first birthday party. She quickly realized how limited her options were when trying to find age-appropriate activities for her young son and his friends to enjoy. Around this same time, Rebecca visited the Children's Museum of Houston where she discovered their toddler soft play area. She was surprised by how much the little ones loved crawling, climbing, and exploring the play area, and she knew these types of activities would make a great concept for a birthday party.

3 Simple Ways to Celebrate Mardi Gras in The Woodlands

It's Carnival season! Mardi Gras is next Tuesday, February 25, and we just LOVE celebrating this fun holiday with our families. Here are a few simple ways you can make the day memorable for you and your crew:

1. Eat! (Think shrimp po-boys, beignets, and all-you-can-eat crawfish.)
When we hear "Mardi Gras", the first thing on our minds is Food (yes, that's with a capital F). This time of year, there's always  something fun and festive at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Shenandoah. The restaurant showcases live musical acts for entertainment, and for eats we recommend the crawfish bisque (it's the bomb-diggety), but special menu options such as the Costa Rican Mahi & Crawfish, the Mardi Gras Cheesecake, and the oh-so-famous Swampthing will make dining here for Mardi Gras a real treat.

Other local cajun & creole favorites can be found at Schilleci's New Orleans Kitchen in Market Street (it's quaint and cozy - we prefer leaving the kids at home), Babin's (definitely the place to go if you're all about the spice), and Landry's (great appetizers!).
