Bricks & Minifigs - Now serving The Woodlands, plus there's a party room!

bm3

Did you know there are over 400 billion LEGO bricks in the world? And every day another 125 million bricks are made! What do we do when our kids outgrow them, lose interest, or perhaps simply want to add to their collection?

I found the answer, and it’s right here in The Woodlands. Bricks & Minifigs, BAM for short - is now open serving communities in North Houston. (Although, at the Grand Opening there was at least one family who’d driven over from Austin!)

MMM!! Get Sipping at these 9 Boba Tea Shops in The Woodlands!

woodlandsmommy bobatea
STOP! Wait a minute. Fill my cup… put some boba in it!

Alright alright, I’ll lay off the singing, but boba tea shops are becoming a BIG DEAL in The Woodlands, and my taste buds are here for it! Many moons ago when my husband and I were just dating, he introduced me to a modern, trendy, boba tea shop located in midtown Houston. I remember liking the idea of a stylish place for yuppies to bring their laptops to get work done, although at the time I wasn't too fond of the beverage.

Get to know All Nations Community School

woodlandsmommy allnations 2
Some people call it “The Woodlands’ best kept secret,” but how in the world am I supposed to keep this a secret? Nope, not anymore!

Have you gotten wind of All Nations Community School? It’s a Christ-centered, globally-minded academy located at 27420 Robinson Road in Oak Ridge North—and unlike any other school I’ve seen around here lately.

You must know, it’s an impressive institution with PreK-3 through High School, Spanish immersion for all grade levels, a la carte homeschool classes, before and after school care, Advanced Placement courses, and Dual Credit. For PreK, the school offers a 2-Day, 3-Day, and 5-Day option. There’s also award-winning STEM and robotics, fine arts, a school garden, community service, and fascinating electives.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at these Local Restaurants

cincodemayo1

Cinco de Mayo is one of the most festive and fun celebrations of the year, and you don't have to know a thing about the Battle of Puebla to get a bit rowdy with friends and celebrate this holiday over a pan of piping hot fajitas!

***As a quick aside, we personally think it's appropriate to respectfully participate in cultural holidays and to understand the meanings and reasons behind the celebration, so read all the way to the end if you'd like to be enlightened!
