All YMCAs in the Greater Houston area are participating, and parents are encouraged to go on-line or visit their closest Y to register their children and secure a spot. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available. The Shadowbend Y Pool will be the host in The Woodlands offering classes at these times, 9:30am – 10:15am and 11am.

Kick off summer in The Woodlands at the Memorial Day Event taking place Sunday, May 27, 2018, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive. The Sunday event will feature fireworks, live music, childrens activities, a keynote speaker, a Community Covenant signing, strolling entertainers and more.
The festival pays tribute to all military service men and women who lost their lives while serving the United States, and also honors all veterans who serve as a symbol for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice of life to protect our freedom. This years keynote speaker will be COL (R) Randall M. Pais, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (Texas-East).

Memorial Day in The Woodlands pays tribute to all military service men and women who lost their lives while serving the United States. Brig. Gen. (R) Henry Ostermann - United States Army Reserve Ambassador, will serve as the keynote speaker. A care package drop-off booth will be available onsite to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops currently serving. Wanna see some interesting historic houses? Galveston Historical Foundation opens the doors to Galveston’s incredible architectural history through public tours of privately owned homes during its annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour. Tours will be held on May 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 for non-members before May 1 and $35 after and are available online at www.galvestonhistory.org. Members of Galveston Historical Foundation can purchase specially priced $25 tickets by calling 409-765-3405 or by visiting any of GHF’s retail locations.
