At this event, guests can sip from fine china and decorate delicious cookies as they imagine a visit down the rabbit hole into a dreamlike world.
The Haunting at Bear Branch returns this October to incite fun and frights for residents and visitors of The Woodlands. Hosted by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, The Haunting at Bear Branch will feature a “Panic Room” theme, sure to strike fear in those who brave its path.
Patrons of The Haunting at Bear Branch can expect many thrills along the half-mile trail with mazes, tunnels and tight quarters designed to scare. This year’s trail will feature the largest room constructed in the event’s history, inviting patrons to escape the trail and the room before time expires.
Get ready for tricks, treats and symphonic suites at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops Friday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by Woodforest National Bank, the night will feature the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance of horrifying horns, bewitching bassoons and chilling cellos. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Tickets are $25 for reserved orchestra seating and gates open at 6 p.m.
A variety of live music will fill the fall air on Thursday evenings at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands as Rock the Row, the popular and free outdoor concert series, returns October 13 through November 10. The Woodlands Township is the host of Rock the Row fall series.

De la Peña is the first Latinx author to ever receive prestigious children's literature Newbery award for Last Stop on Market Street. The Newbery is rarely awarded to picture books.
