Hocus Pocus Pops - Casting a Spell over The Pavilion October 12

Get ready for tricks and treats at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops featuring the Houston Symphony Friday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m. Lucas Waldin will conduct the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance of horrifying horns, bewitching bassoons and chilling cellos. The performance will feature popular selections from The Incredibles, Edward Scissorhands and The Lord of the Rings.  Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and “ghouls” to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade.

National Night Out In The Woodlands Unites Neighbors Against Crime

Residents of The Woodlands Township are encouraged to join together against crime and drugs during National Night Out on Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 3 to 6 p.m. When neighborhoods participate in National Night Out, it accomplishes one of the first steps in crime prevention: "neighbor knowing neighbor."

The National Night Out campaign offers many opportunities for neighborhood camaraderie, including a theme party contest, sidewalk chalk art competition, a food drive in partnership with Interfaith of The Woodlands, I.D. the Burglar Village Challenge and the National Night Out Military Drive.

Fall Flea Market Set For October 6 In Town Center Parking Garage

altThe Woodlands Fall Flea Market will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the Town Center Parking Garage. The garage is located at the southwest corner of Six Pines Drive and Lake Robbins Drive adjacent to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

The Woodlands covenants and deed restrictions do not permit garage sales on residential properties. The flea market provides a means for The Woodlands residents to sell unwanted household goods. Bargain hunters who buy pre-owned items keep them out of the landfill and lessen their impact on the environment. Buying recycled products also preserves the natural resources that are used in the manufacturing of these items.
