Crayola Experience Thanks Educators with Year-Round Fun

altIn honor of National Teacher Appreciation Month, Crayola Experience is launching a nationwide Teacher Annual Pass Program.

Teachers have been a core part of Crayola's heritage since 1903 when Alice Binney - schoolteacher and wife of co-founder Edwin - named the new crayons "Crayola."

"We believe creativity is an important part of childhood development, that it's a skill which can be taught, and that it must be experienced," said Connie Walker, Communications Manager for Crayola Experience. "Teachers are critical to our mission of helping to develop creatively alive kids."

Waterway Nights Returns For Summer Series

Waterway Nights, a free concert series hosted by The Woodlands Township, will return for its summer season on Thursday, August 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place, The Woodlands, TX 77380.

Waterway Nights is a family-friendly event and features live music from a variety of bands and entertainers from multiple genres such as country, rock and pop. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are permitted. Glass is prohibited.

The eight-month project revitalized Market Street's focal point - Central Park. New FREE Microsoft Summer Camps Immerse Kids in the Magic of Coding and Video Game Design

Students participate in a free Summer Camp where they learn to code in the popular world of Harry Potter by casting spells with the Harry Potter Kano Coding kit.Microsoft Store has offered free summer camps dedicated to teaching kids technical skills to pursue their passions since opening its first store in 2009. This year's new camps such as "Harry Potter Creative Coding Camp" and "Design and Create Your Own Video Game with MakeCode Arcade" not only encourage an interest in STEM and explore abilities future professional gamers, developers and coders need for success, but also provide life skills that translate outside of the classroom.
