The Luminari Boys Choir was founded in the fall of 2015 for musical boys with unchanged voices, ages 6 - 14. Highlights of the boys choir since its founding have been a tour to Louisiana, a tour to Washington DC/Baltimore and participating in the Baltimore Boychoir Festival with 200 boys, singing in concerts with the Lone Star College Concert Choir, the Montgomery County Chorale, The Woodlands Chorale, the Kingwood Pops Orchestra and The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra, besides their “home” events, Christmas in the Woods and Spring Concerts. In 2019, they won Best in Class and Superior ratings at the Schlitterbahn Choral Festival in New Braunfels.

The Luminari Boys Choir is directed by Artistic Director Austin Hunt, acclaimed conductor, soloist and composer with many of his choral pieces recently published. All of his six middle school choirs won Sweepstakes at this year’s UIL competition.

The Luminari Boys Choir organization encompasses two choirs. Talented boys ages 7 - 13 audition for coveted spots in the Tour Choir, a select group of 20 to 30 boys who participate in camps, retreats, trips and tours. TrebleMakers (unauditioned) is for boys ages 6 - 8 to discover a love of singing, fun with music and develop musicianship skills and will start again in the fall.
