Registration is now open for the 1st Annual YMCA Duathlon (Run/Bike/Run) on Saturday, August 13, 7:30am at the new Holcomb Y location. Youth, ages 7 – 15, are eligible to register and experience the fun and excitement of triathlon. It’s a morning of friendly competition and physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of fitness. The event is designed for all levels. Previous experience is not required.

But anyways... we figured you'd want to know that Disney Concerts and Live Nation have announced the Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour is coming to The Woodlands. The Walt Disney Animation Studios Academy Award®-winning film will come to life in a one-of-a-kind concert event at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Thurday, July 28, featuring the entire feature-length film and an on-stage band celebrating all the record-breaking hit songs from the beloved soundtrack.
Rumble Boxing Creekside is coming soon to Creekside Park® West, adding to the variety of health and wellness retailers and amenties in Creekside Park Village Center in The Woodlands®, the master planned community developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC).
Rumble Boxing Creekside is a boxing-inspired fitness boutique. Combining the science of boxing with the transformative power of strength training, Rumble’s 45-minute classes combine high-intensity interval training (HIIT), metabolic conditioning, and cardiovascular conditioning. The classes are beginner-friendly, and no experience is necessary.
The franchise location in The Woodlands is owned by Jedd and Jami Mosher. “My husband and I enjoy working out and living a balanced lifestyle. We tried a Rumble Boxing class when visiting DC and knew we wanted to bring it to The Woodlands because we love the community and all it has to offer. Creekside Park really felt like the right atmosphere and fit for the brand. We are very excited to bring Rumble Boxing to The Woodlands,” said Jami Mosher.
Rumble Boxing Creeksidewill be one of two locations debuting in the Greater Houston region later this year. Currently, there are 20 Rumble Boxing studios open with 200 more coming soon across the United States.

The Woodlands Township has launched a new tennis ball recycling program in partnership with RecycleBalls, a nonprofit powered by Wilson, to divert waste from landfills. Players can now conveniently recycle tennis balls in the green RecycleBalls bins at five different locations in The Woodlands.
With tennis balls taking more than 400 years to decompose in the landfill, tennis players in The Woodlands are encouraged to “play it green” and start recycling their tennis balls with RecycleBalls.
Please note tennis balls can only be recycled through these special collection bins; they are NOT accepted in curbside recycling carts. Tennis ball canisters are recyclable curbside only if the metal ring is separated from the plastic container.
