National Flip Flop Day Coming to Tropical Smoothie Cafe® on June 14th

For more than 10 years, Tropical Smoothie Cafe® has donated $5.3 million to Camp Sunshine – the Maine-based organization devoted to providing a healthy, happy camp experience to children with life threatening illnesses and their families, completely free of charge. Through numerous efforts, the brand has set its sights on raising $1 million, the most prominent effort being their annual holiday National Flip Flop Day, created solely to support local families and Camp Sunshine. This year, National Flip Flop Day will be held Friday, June 14, 2019. 

Now through June 30, the Tropical Smoothie Cafes in Shenandoah and Magnolia will also be offering two ways for guests to make donations to Camp Sunshine. Customers who donate will get a paper sunshine which we be displayed in the local restaurant, and can be customized with guests’ names. Customers may also purchase a Sunshine Discount card can be purchased for $5 for a 5% discount on all Tropical Smoothie Cafe purchases made in 2019.

“National Flip Flop Day is the single most important day of the year to Tropical Smoothie Cafe,” explained Rob Collins, Chief Marketing Officer for Tropical Smoothie Cafe. “We’re planning for 2019 to be one of our most successful yet in terms of giving back to children in need in an around our Tropical Smoothie Cafe communities.” 

Besides the brand’s “fun-raising” efforts, the Tropical Smoothie Cafes located at 19075 I-45 South, Suite 116 C (Portofino Shopping Center) in Shenandoah and 5417 FM 1488, Suite A, Magnolia, TX 77354 in Magnolia will be continuing the tradition of a free 16 oz. Sunshine Smoothie to any guest visiting the cafe June 14 while wearing flip flops between 2:00PM-7:00PM. 

Additionally, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is helping to share the sunshine by supporting local families eligible to attend Camp Sunshine. “We’ve seen first-hand how much Camp Sunshine means to the kids and families who attend, and we want to provide that opportunity to as many people as possible,” Collins continued.
