The 2019 Montgomery County Fair, Rodeo and Cookoff is scheduled for March 29 - April 7 in Conroe. Youth Rodeo event registration is open February 11-22. The Youth Rodeo features stick horse races for ages 3-4, mutton bustin' for ages 5-7, goat ribbon pulling for ages 5-13, boot scramble for ages 5-9 and the inflatable pony races for ages 10-16. Roughly 300 participants will be chosen through a random drawing for the Youth Rodeo on March 29, 30 and 31.The Montgomery County Fair Association is a 501(c)(3) charity supported by more than 600 volunteers dedicated to supporting the youth of Montgomery County. This ten day event features shows, games, educational exhibits, a rodeo and carnival and also serves as a platform for youth to be able to display their projects in a public setting. The Montgomery County Fair Association is also proud to award scholarships to students with and without Fair projects every year. Since the program began in 1993 over $1.5 million have been given in college scholarships.
