You can “ball drop” a neighbor or friend by leaving a basket of fun and festive giftables on their doorstep on one of the days leading up to New Year’s Day. Ball drop basket ideas can include an actual bouncing ball (the play on words, get it?), party hats, confetti, a bottle of sparkling grape juice, chocolate candies, a bag of black-eyed peas (for good luck), Lotto tickets, and anything else you’d like to include to wish your recipient a Happy New Year.
