We make handcrafted nut butters right here in The Woodlands, TX. Our approach is to let the product shine - that’s why we keep it as simple and natural as possible. We never add sugar, oil or salt (No S.O.S) just nuts! 
We began right at the beginning of COVID. Like many other businesses, it was created out of necessity. I used to go to the supermarkets bulk section and grind my own every few days, but once they closed - I had to figure out a way to make my own- without owning one of the fancy, expensive machines.
My husband and kids couldn’t stop eating it - once my friends had a taste, they kept asking me to make more. Until one day, I made the plunge and Nutmaste was born.
How much time do you spend each week working your business?
Since our business is handcrafted, the process is LONG but WORTH it. Aside from being head nut, I’m also a mom. Between school, juggling two different swim schedules for my kids, a new puppy and not to mention my husband, I spend a lot of early mornings and late evenings making, selling, and promoting the brand. 
I’m not an expert by any means, but I do enjoy structure and routine. It’s always difficult to get into a routine when there are so many moving pieces, but as long as you find a little “me” time, everything else will fall into place. It could be a few minutes to go on a walk, a morning meditation session, an hour of exercise, any activity that is truly centered around “YOU” is helpful.
I’m a believe that in order to love and be happy with the world, you first have to love and be happy with yourself. It all starts with taking a little “me” time. 
Having a healthy lifestyle has always motivated me. And now that I have two young girls, showing them the importance of health and having a balanced life of work or school and family is key to smiling everyday.
Since I started Nutmaste, I’ve been able to work closely with friends, family, and customers in helping them make small changes that have resulted into positive outcomes.
Creating Nutmaste was always about nut butters, but it’s slowly turning into a Lifestyle company - always spreading good vibes.
What do you consider to be your biggest strength?
Perseverance - The last two years have been especially tough for my family, but through perseverance and staying positive, it has helped us get through it. It wasn’t always positive, but those small steps will always add up to one big one.
We’ve been fortunate to be a part of great communities and receive lots of coffee shop love! We try to pick our partners based on simply doing good. To me, giving back is so important. It makes others feel good which then in return makes me feel good. SPREAD THE VIBE
What would you like to be doing five years from now?
I would really like to grow my community of customers. Not just as a business, but grow with them. As my friends and customers grow in their lives, through better health choices and a positive lifestyle, we will grow as well.
It’s all natural nut butter. Our process allows the nuts to dry roast then slowly grind and release their own oils, but not too much, making it smooth, creamy, and crunchy all in one bite!
Our unique approach caters to customers that like their nut butters at room temperature or in the fridge, never altering it’s true consistency. Since we never add sugar, oil, or salt, Nutmaste Handcrafted Nut butters are ideal to eat on the go, on your favorite toast, or even use it in savory recipes! (Thai food anyone?)
Did I mention we are dog friendly too? Our fur friends love Nutmaste!
Nutmaste’s mission is not just to make Handcrafted Nut Butters, but to empower everyone to make positive changes in their lives. Whether it’s through food, lifestyle or both - we want our customers to be happy with themselves and it starts with one spoonful at a time. 
This is going to sound cliche, but just do it. I would have never known how challenging and fulfilling starting your own business would be without taking the plunge and just doing it. It’s going to be a lot of work and long hours, but once you find your stride, it’s so rewarding. Just remember, you have to LOVE your product and always take some “me” time.
