On October 16, 2019, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical opened on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre. Now Main Street Theater (MST) is bringing back the hit musical after the great success of its own 2023 production.
“Percy Jackson is a teen hero,” shares Vivienne M. St. John, MST Theater for Youth Artistic Director and co-director of the production. “This musical is an inspiration for young people with ADHD or dyslexia or anyone who doesn’t feel like their parents understand them. This is an action-packed, techno extravaganza for Percy fans of all ages.”

The Lightning Thief opens January 26 and plays through February 23. About the Production
The Lightning Thief is directed by Vivienne M. St. John. Musical direction is by Kerri Elrod. Michael Chiavone is back as Percy Jackson. The rest of the cast includes Nicole Campos, Chad Fontenot, Matt Hurt, Jordan Okeke, Mykal Sanders, Laura Smolik, Jordan Umphries, and Jacqueline Vasquez. The musicians are Kerri Elrod and Richard Bourk.
The design team is Torsten Louis (set design), Bryan Ealey (lighting design), LA Clevenson (costume design), Shawn W. St. John (sound design), and Rodney Walsworth (properties design). The assistant director is Sarah St. John. Chad Fontenot is the choreographer. Amanda Adwers is the stage manager.
