Children’s Memorial Hermann is the presenting sponsor of the 2024 IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run and Doggie Dash on the morning of Saturday, April 20, in The Woodlands. The IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run offers young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition, while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living. Running clubs are welcome!
Each athlete receives a “Goodie Bag” with a race bib, shirt and the pride of calling themselves an IRONKID. When each race is complete, competitors earn a finisher medal. Children’s activities and registration begin at 8:30 a.m. when the site opens at Town Green Park (2099 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380). Opening ceremonies and warm-up at 9:30 a.m.
- Diaper Dash - 26.2 ft. (independent crawlers, under 2 yrs.)
- Toddler Dot Trot - 80 ft. (independent walkers, ages 1-3 yrs.)

It’s back! The Doggie Dash following the children’s races, will begin at 11:15 a.m. During the Doggie Dash, each leashed, vaccinated dog and their handler have to option to compete in two courses. Their “Doggie Bag” features a race bib and bandana, then a finisher dog tag medal. IRONKIDS asks that all dogs be socialized and comfortable with being around crowds and other dogs - big or small. This event is for fun and participants should distance themselves accordingly for safety during the dash.

At Town Green Park, there will be a village with fun and a variety of activities. Enjoy snow cones, arts and crafts, an obstacle course for kids, tour a pediatric transport ambulance, mingle with mascots, get your face painted, meet area pediatricians and check out some pet vendors too.
