20+ Halloween movies to watch at home this month

halloween movienight
Ready to get into the Halloween spirit with some scary movies (and some not-so-scary ones)? Here's a short list of animated favorites for little kids and another list of live-action movies that might be best suited for the older crowd. Either way, you're in for a spooky good time! Note, there are no horror / thriller movies on this list, because it's not that type of party :-)

To put together a fabulous Halloween movie marathon that the whole family will enjoy, decorate the house, light a fall-scented candle (cinnamon apple!), set up a movie room with dim lighting and lots of blankets, and serve caramel popcorn and other fun snacks. And what better way to set the Halloween mood than to play some creepy organ music until the movie begins.

But first and foremost - you have to actually invite your peeps to the movie-watching event. Even if it'll only be your immediate family, things always feel festive when there's a real invitation involved. So draft one up and post it the fridge for all the see and anticipate the fun night ahead!
