Shadow Puppet Theatre Thursday, August 1st at 11am presents “If I Were a Jungle Animal” by Amanda Ellery. Daydreaming Morton is bored in the outfield during his baseball game and starts imagining how exciting things would be if he were a jungle animal, but watch out…Is that a baseball coming straight at him?

Shadow Puppet Theatre Thursday, August 8th at 11am presents “Amelia Bedelia’s First Day of School” by Herman Parish. Amelia’s excited to start school but takes all the instructions she receives quite literally, such as “gluing” herself to her seat by using actual glue, causing some confusion! Through it all, she makes friends, learns things, and creates projects with the patient, gentle guidance of her teacher.

Shadow Puppet Theatre Thursday, August 15th at 11am presents “We’re Roaming in the Rainforest:  An Amazon Adventure” by Laurie Krebs. Three children stroll through the rainforest and discover all its fascinating creatures in their natural habitats. 

Shadow Puppet Theatre Thursday, August 22nd at 11am presents “Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin, Jr. This classic picture book engages children through rhyme, rhythm, and repetition as they are introduced to ten special animals considered endangered or threatened.

Shadow Puppet Theatre Thursday, August 29th at 11am presents “Bullfrog Pops!” by Rick Walton. Bullfrog, with his voracious appetite, gets into a heap of trouble in Ravenous Gulch but has the chance to be the town’s hero at the upcoming County Super Eater Contest!

Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allow our readers and audience to interact directly with each other, children of all ages are enchanted with the animated shadows.
