Paper Bird Give your child two circles cut out of light blue construction paper. One circle needs to be a little smaller than the other one. Help him glue these circles on dark blue construction paper, using the large circle as the body and the smaller circle as the head. Finally, decorate the bird with feathers and crayons/markers.
Feather Painting Let your child paint on construction paper using a feather instead of a paintbrush.
Birds Talk to your child about birds. Mention that birds have wings, feathers, and a beak, and that most birds fly in the air. Help your child distinguish at least two types of bird. (Suggestions: owl, parrot, peacock, flamingo)
How Many Birds Enjoy an early morning stroll outside in the yard or at a park and try to find 5 to 10 birds with your toddler.
