Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.


Humpty Dumpty (lifting game)
Stand and hold your child on the bed, a
chair, etc., and sing:
"Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
Ready?
1 - 2- 3"
On the count of three, lift your baby high in
the air and slowly swoop him back down.


These Are Baby's
These are baby's fingers
These are baby's toes,
This is baby's bellybutton
Round and round it goes.


Cushion Climb
Place cushions or pillows,
blankets, etc. around the room
and let your baby crawl over this
obstacle course.

Hide in Laundry
Let your child sit up in a pile of
clean clothes. The clothes
should be light pieces such as
socks, underclothes, or cloth
diapers. Let him enjoy picking
up the various pieces and help
him hide in the laundry.

Baby Bounce
Sit in the bed with your child
standing facing you, and
bounce him up and down while
singing "bounce bounce
bounce", "high and low" and "up
and down" you go.

Cycling Baby
Lie your child on her back and
lift her legs to make fun, cycling
motions (as if she's riding a
bicycle). Sing "uphill" and cycle
slownly, then "downhill" and
cycle faster.


Show your infant
jungle-themed animals
in books and let your
child explore
jungle-themed stuffed
animals - lions,
monkeys, snakes,
giraffes, etc. Be sure to
name each animal as
your child plays with it.


Face to Face Interaction:

Baby Massage
After so much exercise, your
baby is ready for a slow
massage. Gently rub his
arms, legs, feet, and back,
(use baby oil or lotion if
desired) and hum him a
lullaby.)
