This summer, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is thrilled to present a brand new, never-before-seen exhibition of art…that you can touch.
“Art Unleashed: Creativity You Can FEEL!” is a family-friendly, touchable art exhibition for all abilities. The exhibition has been curated by staff of the Pearl and includes pieces created especially for this exhibition, as well as art on loan from artists across the nation.
“Art Unleashed” will be featured in the Main Gallery of the Pearl, and includes: iconic masterpieces re-created as bronze reliefs by Tomas Bustos of Dallas; soft sculptures by Stephanie Metz of California; a tufting series by Sam Lao of Dallas; textured paintings by Rosy Sunshine Galvan of Baltimore; bronze sculptures from Found Fine Art in Bastrop, Texas; fiber art by Marsha Borden of Connecticut; and more!
The summer exhibition also includes a large Maker Space, where guests of all ages and abilities can create their own art from sensory materials like buttons, pipe cleaners, pom-poms and more. The Maker Space is generously sponsored by AAUW North Harris County Branch.
In the Cole Gallery this summer, the Pearl is delighted to feature “The Realm of Smaller Things: A Storybook Adventure by Kent Knowles.” Based on his book by the same name, figurative artist and author Kent Knowles created murals, sculptures, and fun photo ops to invite visitors to frolic through a BIG forest with a TINY friend.
Summer Exhibitions at the Pearl open Saturday, May 31 and continue through August 30, 2025. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated to help support the work of the museum.
Located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, TX, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For details, special Opening Day festivities, Wild Art Wednesdays, and more, visit pearlmfa.org.
